I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2004 - an incurable auto-immune inflammatory bowel disease that left me in daily pain and eventually led to me having four bowel surgeries and being bedridden for four years. In 2015, after having my large intestine surgically removed and being fitted with an ostomy bag, I had to figure out a way to put myself back together, physically and mentally.

Using a combination of lifting weights, cardio, functional range conditioning (mobility training) and yoga - and a whole lot of trial and error - I became fitter, stronger and more mobile than I’d ever been, and decided I wanted to help other people to do the same.

I’m not a ‘gym is life’ kind of person, instead I firmly believe the gym is FOR life. In my spare time I run, rock climb, play golf (very badly), surf (equally badly), sail, hike and will try basically anything, because I’ve built a body that’s limited by talent and hand-eye coordination, and never strength, fitness or mobility. I want a body that looks and feels good now, and for years to come, and I want that for my clients, too.

These days I have a full roster of in-person and online clients, and my certifications include:

  • Personal Trainer

  • Girls Gone Strong Level 1

  • Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms)

  • Functional Range Assessment (FRA)

  • David Grey Rehab Lower Limb

  • Embodied Flow Yoga Teacher

  • Meditation teacher
